Hi, I’m Morgan Sky, a former military child, proud Gemini, and lover of makeup. I’m married to my wonderful husband, Sam, and we are parents to a beagle mix, Sandy. We live outside of Atlanta, GA and unlike most, I do not mind the heat or the humidity. My passions include binge watching The Office while scrolling through Pinterest on my phone, eating cake-like really good cake, and placing things on my to-do list that I’ve already done, just so I can check them off.
I was born in Adana, Turkey while my dad was stationed there for Desert Storm. Being an Air Force kid is definitely where I got my love of traveling because we never stayed in one place for long. I don’t remember Turkey at all, we moved to California when I was 1 and left there when I was 3 for Virginia. The biggest move of all came when I was 9 and we moved to Germany. That was the highlight of my childhood. We lived there for 5 adventure-filled years, traveling all over Europe anytime we got the chance. After Germany was Washington (state, not DC) then Georgia where I’ve been ever since (mostly).
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s in Child and Family Development (I love working with children). While there I became a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, made lifelong friends, and met my husband (but we didn’t start dating until after college). A year after college I moved to metro Atlanta to be closer to my husband, friends, and to be on my own. Since then I have fallen in love with the area. Being an Air Force kid, we never lived close to big cities and I just don’t see how I could go back.
4 years ago my husband, Sam, and I purchased a home and it’s on track to be the house I’ve lived in the longest in my life. In this home I’ve gotten engaged and married, quarantined, and received my first promotion. Here’s hoping it brings me the same good fortune with my blog.
At morgansky.com I share everything from food & drink recipes to my DIY home projects to how to take care of yourself. Whether you’re looking for makeup tips, travel ideas, or what’s worth purchasing on Amazon, you can find it here. Enjoy exploring! XO
