November flew by, faster than I was expecting, but that tends to happen this time of year. There are a couple of flops on the list this month but as usual, it’s mostly favs. Spoiler alert, I did manage to get my hands on The Eras Tour book and The Anthology cd. That wasn’t the only shopping I did through the month, keep reading to learn of all my fun finds.

•insta link and pal – I am actually obsessed with this little gadget! I love that I have the option now to take this when I travel instead of the big clunky camera. I can easily throw this little thing in my purse or even belt bag, that’s how little it is! And the mini link is the perfect way to print the photos when I’m ready. I’m on my 3rd instax camera now, I love them so much. I hope to continue adding to my polaroid bowl for years to come.

•Sephora sale – It’s that time of the year again! Sephora’s VIB sale!!! Here’s a review of everything I snagged: Lip liners from Patrick Ta and Makeup Forever, Fenty Beauty blush, Gisou lip oil, Makeup By Mario eyeshadow palette, Patrick Ta lipstick and eyeshadow, Summer Fridays travel kit. Unfortunately, here’s where my flop comes into play. I’ve loved everything… except for the Patrick Ta eyeshadow duo which is the item I was most excited about. I actually found that the elf cosmetics Fine as Fleck Glitter Eyeshadow was much better and was exactly what I wanted the Patrick Ta one to be. I’m not done with it though, I’m going to play around with the product and make sure I try different techniques when applying it. You can find links to all the Sephora VIB sale items I picked up (and the elf shadows) here.
•Kevin Can F**k Himself – Netflix – I love Annie Murphy as Alexis in Schitt’s Creek but Alexis couldn’t be more different than Allison, the character she plays in KCFH. This show is so unique in the way that it is filmed. When we see Kevin’s world, the show is shot like a sitcom with bright lighting and a laugh track but when we’re in Allison’s world (and eventually other’s) the show takes on a much dark tone, literally and figuratively. Allison’s husband is the typical sitcom recipe of oblivious, loser husband with the hot wife who has to do everything for him. It’s easy to sympathize with Allison and feel as frustrated as she feels. The show is only 2 seasons with a total of 16 episodes so it’s a quick watch. The length of the series is perfect and they tied it up beautifully.

•Home ReOrg – linen closet, kitchen junk cabinet, laundry room – I went through a cleaning frenzy in November and tackled some pretty junky places in the house including the linen closet, the kitchen junk cabinet, and the laundry room. The kitchen cabinet had the biggest transformation and it’s no longer a junk cabinet, so mission accomplished. Next up is to organized the junk closet and coat closet I’ve been shoving stuff into. It’s a never ending cycle!

Keurig – I bought a Keurig. I know, I’m several years behind but I don’t drink coffee so there was never a need for me to have one. Then I stumbled across the Donut Shop Iced Refreshers. I’m a sucker for Starbucks strawberry acai refresher with lemonade but I have 2 issues with them. First, they are pricey and second, there isn’t a light lemonade option. Making my refreshers at home would solve both of these problems. The only problem is, so far, I do not like the take of the Donut Shop refresher. FLOP! But thankfully my husband likes coffee and has complete switched from his coffee pot to the Keurig. I also use it for hot water for me tea but I need recommendations of non-coffee K-cups to try.
•Nobody Wants This – Netflix – I just want it on the record that in 2003 when we were all obsessed with The OC, my friends loved Ryan Atwood, I however, was a Seth Cohen girl, I still am! The only hesitation I had about this series was Kristen Bell and Adam Brody paired together. I really couldn’t see it, but after watching the series I am happy to say, I can see it now. This is the perfect feel good series to add to your watchlist this season. Kristen is a relationship podcaster who cohosts a “pod” with her sister, Morgan (shout out! Great name! Also best character). She meets a recently single rabbi, Adam, and they start dating but things get complicated with Seth’s religion and position in the temple as well as an ex-girlfriend who struggles to move on. This show was so funny and sweet, I can’t wait for season 2.
•Yellowstone return – It’s Back!! I didn’t realise that Kevin Costner wasn’t going to be in the last half of this season which was disappointing. It’s been so long since there was a new season, I can barely remember what happened in the last one. This is the final season of this story so I’m interested to see how it all plays out.
•Sex Lives of College Girls return – It’s Back x2!!!!! I LOVE this show, and almost anything Mindy Kaling does. I know that Renee Rapp won’t be featured much in this season, which I’m really very upset about, but I’m glad she’s in the start. It’s sophomore year at Essex and we left off with a lot of changes happening. The first episode wraps those up and thankfully resolves Kimberly and Whitney’s falling out quickly. It’s looks like there will be a new girl to replace Laughton so we’ll have to watch the season to see how they all mesh.

•Thanksgiving – This was the first year in years that I didn’t make a single dish for dinner, everything was taken care of or claimed so I got to really enjoy myself. I was visiting my parents up in State College, PA so I spent time with them and my brother and sister, we all live in different states so it’s nice when we’re all together. It was a relaxing and very uneventful, in the best way possible, Thanksgiving. Side note: the above picture is from Thanksgiving at my house a few years ago because I forgot to take any pictures this year.

•State College ,PA – cheese caves – I was born and bread a Penn State fan because mom and dad are alumni. They live there for now and I won’t turn down a visit to Happy Valley. I was there for 2 weeks and the highlights, besides time with family, include visiting Amish cheese caves, shopping for Penn State merch, and lunch at a cute cafe in downtown State College with mom, called Sowers Harvest Cafe, where I had a delicious chicken caesar sandwich (pictured above).

•Wicked – What a great movie! The cinematography was beautiful and top tier. Remember when Harry Styles said something like the great thing about the movie he was filming was, it felt like a movie? Well, this felt like a movie. One of those films that will stand the test of time. Ariana’s excellent acting surprised me. I thought she’d be good, I didn’t think she’d be that good. Cynthia was phenomenal, her voice is so powerful I got goosebumps every time she sang. Jonathan was wonderful and I love seeing him on my screen, always. Baby Nessarose was my favorite. Her little “yea” killed me and brought me back to life. I’ve never seen Wicked, I don’t know the story, so I’m very excited for part 2 next year.

Eras Tour book & The Anthology cd – Shout out to the Target team at State College, PA (not the one downtown) they organized their shit perfectly. My mom and I got up at 5am, hit up Starbucks, and got in line at Target. EVERYONE there was there for Taylor’s book and vinyl or cd. I’m pretty sure nobody would have been waiting in line to go into Target at 6am if it wasn’t for the fact that they were selling these items exclusively. I got both the book and cd no problem and I was very happy. I really hope she releases a cassette tape of The Anthology. I’m really into collecting cassettes right now.

That’s it for the month of November. I feel like I had way more favs and flops this month than any other month. I’m sure things won’t be slowing down in December so stay tuned for another post next month. Until then, let me know your thoughts on November’s wrap up. What were some of your favs and flops for the month?
